Dispute Resolution
Forum Lecture
Wednesday,
May 21, 2003
Presenter: Susan
L. Podziba
There is an increasing
awareness within
industry, government,
and civil society
that the search
for solutions to
complex public policy
challenges requires
their cooperation.
Processes that enable
such cooperation
and result in actionable
outcomes have been
in use throughout
the United States
to address issues
across the public
policy spectrum.
During this session,
Susan Podziba will
discuss the design
and mediation of
processes that enable
diverse groups to
break through pre-existing
assumptions and
limits of thought
to forge an ability
to discern greater
nuance and choice,
thus enabling talks
to build solutions
melded from the
knowledge, wisdom,
and experiences
of those affected
by particular aspects
of complex public
policy challenges.
